The Bursting strength of a corrugated box is a measure of the amount of force required to rupture the box's walls. It is typically measured in pounds per square inch (PSI).

The Edge Crush Test (ECT) is a measure of a corrugated box's stacking strength. It is typically measured in pounds per inch (PPI).

Corrugated boxes come in a wide variety of sizes, but some common standard sizes include:

• RSC (Regular Slotted Container) - These boxes have two equal-length flaps on the top and bottom, and two shorter flaps on the sides.
• FOL (Full Overlap) - These boxes have overlapping flaps on all four sides.
• HSC (Half Slotted Container) - These boxes have one flap on the top or bottom, and two flaps on the sides.
• Tuck-end - These boxes have flaps on both the top and bottom, but the side flaps are tucked inside.

Standard thickness of corrugated boxes is measured by their "score", which represent the number of flutes (the wavy inner layer) in the box. Common thickness include: ECT-10 (or single wall), ECT-32 ( or double wall) and ECT-48 ( or triple wall)
